Hello everyone! My name is Micah Coleman Campbell and I am the new full-time intern for TCM. I have to tell you I am extremely excited about this position and if I were to meet you in person, I’d probably ramble on and on about it, but I’m going to do my best to restrain myself here.
First, a few things about me: I aim to become a United Methodist minister; the NBA lockout pains me dearly; I find singing alone in the car therapeutic; and I don’t take myself too seriously.
Second, what I will be doing for TCM: a little bit of everything. I will help plan and coordinate our worship services, core groups, service opportunities, and recreational activities. Additionally, I will be focusing on building relationships between students and with God – doing all that I can to foster a community of love, grace, safety, and strength.
Third, why I’m doing it: because I am convinced a great campus ministries will completely transform lives. On a small campus like Puget Sound’s, students see friends and acquaintances wherever they go, whether it be at home, in class, at work, at a party, or in passing. For these four incredible years of their lives, students will have countless opportunities everyday to serve and love each other and, ideally, to be served and loved in return. How amazing and unique is that experience?!
Think about it. I did, and realized I absolutely had to get involved.
